ASUS Unveils VivoWatch 6 AERO: A Leap Forward in Wearable Health Technology

A New Era in Personal Health Monitoring

In a significant advancement for wearable health technology, ASUS has introduced the VivoWatch 6 AERO, the world’s first smart band capable of measuring blood pressure and electrocardiogram (ECG) readings through a simple fingertip touch. This innovation positions the VivoWatch 6 AERO as a pioneering device in personal health monitoring.

Innovative Fingertip-Based Measurements

The VivoWatch 6 AERO utilizes advanced PPG and ECG sensors, integrated through a sputter deposition process, allowing users to obtain real-time cardiovascular data by placing a finger on the sensor. This method enhances accuracy by leveraging the higher microvascular density in fingertips, providing more precise readings compared to traditional wrist-based measurements .

Comprehensive Health Tracking Features

Beyond blood pressure and ECG monitoring, the VivoWatch 6 AERO offers a suite of health tracking capabilities:

  • Heart Rate Monitoring: Continuous tracking to monitor heart health.
  • SpO₂ Levels: Measurement of blood oxygen saturation.
  • Sleep Quality: Analysis of sleep patterns for better rest.
  • Activity Tracking: Steps, calories burned, and exercise modes.
  • Body Composition: Assessment of fat percentage, muscle mass, and more through Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) .

These features are powered by ASUS Health AI 5.0, which analyzes data in real-time to provide personalized health insights. ASUS Announces VivoWatch 6 AERO

Connectivity and Battery Life

The device supports Bluetooth 5.0 and is compatible with Android 10 and iOS 13 or later. It boasts a battery life of up to 7 days in power-saving mode, ensuring continuous health monitoring without frequent charging.

Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)

ASUS emphasizes that while the VivoWatch 6 AERO supports the Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) standard, it is not intended for medical diagnosis. Instead, it serves as a tool for users to monitor their health metrics and share data with healthcare providers as needed
