The findings were striking: participants consuming 11 or more servings of ultra-processed foods daily were 2.5 times more likely to exhibit early symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease, such as sleep disturbances, depression, and impaired sense of smell.

Emerging research suggests UPFs may disrupt gut health, leading to chronic inflammation that can impact the brain.
